All of the Dayton Dyno Dynamometers use the Sport Devices Electronics and software package. The SP-1 Kits have proven to be the most reliable, accurate and affordable unit we have tested and will record dyno runs in tenths of a HP. The software is very user friendly and offers a real time display, this allows the operator to monitor each dyno run and stop the testing should the HP begin to fall off. These features allow dyno testing with minimum wear and tear on customer engines. Every test can display rear wheel HP and rear wheel speed.

Thousands of dyno runs can be stored under customer names or type of motorcycle tested. Each test can be printed out for your customer to see before and after engine modifications. This is very helpful when selling aftermarket performance products. Motorcycles with a tachometer can display engine RPM's and Torque on the test without attaching any leads to the bike. Some dirtbikes without a tachometer and spark plug wire will

tested in the simulation mode for RPM's.

Please Note: Rpm's on some models of motorcycles may show spikes because of the ignitions system installed. Such as high output racing ignitions or dual fire ignitions. This is common on most dyno's on the market today.

In most cases this does not limit your ability to tune these engines. Rpm's can be recorded on almost all engines with stock ignition that use spark plug wires. There are five settings to choose from, the ignition pick-up simply counts the ignition pulses. The test ratio option will allow RPM readings on your test should you experience voltage spikes from High Output ignitions.
